Battling uphill at Churchill
Irish lose to Churchhill in a close game. (13-12, I think) Kids were hitting much better as well as bunting and stealing. Fielding still needs work. A lot of guys kicking the ball around and missing key plays. All in all though this week has given them some practice as a team and thats what its all about. It was a beautiful afternoon. We have another game tonight against Willamette.

South Eugene, School Irish!
Irish Blue Team take a loss against South, in this week of make up games, fly balls and stolen bases. Our own #7 remains a solid hitter. Fielding has been great with the exception of a couple errors, but all in all, the team is doing well and all the guys are learning to become better ball players and seed spitters.
We gear up again tonight for another nailbiter against Churchill, on their turf. I hear these guys are tough, but my money is on the Irish.
